It has always been vitally important for us at SOFAR to give back and engage in social responsibility by supporting charitable initiatives in Italy and internationally. In collaboration with the non-profit organization Sport Senza Frontiere, we supported Sporty & Healthy, an educational project promoting social inclusion and psychological and physical well-being through sport, aimed at disadvantaged and emarginated boys and girls of various countries living in Lombardy. Sporty & Healthy offers these children the ability to play, have fun and learn after school plus to teach them how to eat a healthy diet and give them medical screenings supervised by healthcare professionals. In the 2017-2018 school year we introduced 20 children into 11 sports clubs. The crowning moment of the project was on 27 May 2018 with the Sport Senza Frontiere Day, an afternoon dedicated to sport, featuring tournaments, competitions, exhibitions and children's entertainment, held at the Civic Arena in Milan. The event was conceived and organized by Sport Senza Frontiere with the support of SOFAR and the patronage of the Municipality of Milan. This was a significant celebration of sport as an instrument of social integration and respect for different cultures. SOFAR’s space offered games, educational activities and numerous surprises for children.
