In the sporting year 2019/2020, SOFAR is once again committed to Sport Senza Frontiere Onlus – supporting the "Sporty & Healthy" project that helps impoverished children grow healthy, strong and socially fit.
Social inclusion and psychophysical well-being are the main objectives of the project aimed at Italian and foreign girls and boys who live in Lombardy in a state of socio-economic hardship and marginalization.
Sporty & Healthy was launched in the 2017/2018 sports year in Milan and was subsequently expanded to include the region of Bergamo. Now in its third year, this project demonstrates SOFAR's concrete commitment to socially responsible initiatives, paying particular attention to its links with the territory.
Andrea Biffi, CEO of SOFAR, commented:
"The mission of our company is to offer products and solutions that have a positive impact on people's well-being, improving their quality of life. Therefore, it was natural for us to invest in a project that would help children experiencing socio-economic difficulty to grow up in a healthier and more serene manner, through sport but also with education about correct nutrition as well as provision of medical screenings by Sporty & Healthy.
Supporting this project is also a way to give something precious and long-lasting back to a territory that has given us so much over the years.
We started our collaboration with Sport Senza Frontiere in the same year as SOFAR's 50th anniversary - there could be no better way to celebrate such an important milestone. And we are happy to renew our support for this initiative for the third year."
